【Abstract】 Nowadays bilateral FTA becomes a tendency in regional economic integration. This article, using the medianvoter model, analyses its effect on the welfare of the median-voters’ country, and the advantages and disadvantages of the countries when bilateral FTA extends to the multilateral FTA. It also explains why bilateral FTA was preferred by countries in the days when multilateral FTA was valued as a perfect form to promote trade liberty. Finally, the article further elaborates on this economic phenomenon within the framework of WTO.更多还原
