【Abstract】 The characteristics of temporal and spatial expression of AP2 gene in floral organs andvegetative tissues on the basis of molecular regulating models of floral development in higher plant weredescribed. AP2 participated in flower development process involving the establishment of floral meristemidentity, the specification of flower organ identity and the regulation of floral organogenesis, the temporaland spatial regulation of homologous and heterotypical flower gene activity.
