【Abstract】 On the basis of practical experience and theoretical analysis, this paper suggests that the value λ/4 specified for the vertical resolution by the criterion of Rayleigh may not be reasonable. According to the results of a qualitative analysis, the paper designs a series of sand and mud interbed model experiments to study the vertical resolution quatitatively,and finally draws the conclusion that it is more reasonable to specify λ/8 rather than λ/4 for the vertical resolution.更多还原
