【Abstract】 In the new century, higher education has become public spotlight, for its importance in the social and economic development. However, we have to introspect the aim of higher education, for its all kinds of problems in itself. The two tendencies toward utilitarianism and instrumentalism existed in higher education are main cause of problems.
