【Abstract】 As an indispensable part of American literature, the initiation story gives us a unique insight into American literature. This article aims at expounding the value and significance of the study of initiation stories. By reviewing how American classic initiation stories are received in China, we conclude that the initiation story has not been regarded as an independent genre of American novels in China, and a systematic study of American initiation stories is in need.更多还原
