【Abstract】 The increased use of products produced with electromagnetic shielding requires the wood industry to adapt this technology for interior wood products. One method would be to apply the chemical plating technology to wood processing. The authors have summarized research advances on the mechanism and application of chemical plating on the wood material. Taking plating copper or gold on wood surfaces as examples, the paper describs the whole process, key technologies and quality appraisal methods of a chemical plating treatment. It is concluded that chemical plating is an applicable technique for wood to gain certain electromagnetic shielding effectiveness, a better decorative effect, and added value.更多还原
