【Abstract】 By comparing and analyzing in culture context the experiences of sin, repentance and final reconciliation with God between Dimmesdale in The Scarlet Letter and King David in Bible, the paper explores the theme of "sin", natures of God and human, as well as restoration and reestablishment of divinity-human relationship expressed and revealed in the novel, so as to further interpret Hawthorne’s writing purpose.更多还原
