【Abstract】 In this paper,the appointed ratio compression of image which is based on the wavelet image encoding of zerotree is realized, thereby that reduce memory space and make for image transmission. The realization of arithmetic coding is introduced. The image in encoding and decoding is compared with the original image and the peak value SNR( Signal Noise Ratio) with different compression ratio is calculated,so that the quality of image in encoding and decoding is saled.
