【Abstract】 In order to rationally forecast natural block degree of rock, the fractal characteristics of rock mass discontinuity joint was discussed and studied, accomplished a new method of forecasting natural block degree of rock by using the relationship of fractal distribution, jointed rock mass density, a criterion in evaluating rock mass quality and discontinuity joint interval distribution.
