【Abstract】 This paper mainly discusses the relationship between native and "the other". In the first part of the paper, the author generally explains what is native and what is "the other". And then the relationship between native and "the other" during the period of colonialism is roughly discussed. The author then briefly introduces post-colonialism and focuses on "the other" of the period of post- colonialism and the relationship between native and "the other" during this period.
