【Abstract】 It is a heated issue to distinguish between coremagazines of academic writing and magazines of academic writing. Judging from its selecting criteria such as reprint rate and quote rate, it is quite reasonable and scientific to use core Magazines of Academic Writing a standard of academic evaluation. Since reprint rate indicates the fame and the number of readers of the scientific papers printed in the periodicals and quote rate indicates the academic influence of them. However, the criteria of evaluating essential periodical should not be used absolutely and profitably. core magazines of academic writing themselves are not responsible for the argued problems.
