【Abstract】 Starting from the operation environment of the first heat exchanger in the shift section of an ammonia plant, the focal point is on the severe corrosion of the stainless steel members, such as the lower tubeplate and the lower part of tube bundles, which is caused by chloride cracking and stress corrosion cracking. In the light of this corrosion problem preventive measures are proposed, including ensuring the quality of demineralized water, improving steam quality, and reducing chlorine content, thus obtaining satisfactory results.更多还原
