【Abstract】 Preliminary study on the genus Agnaptoria Reitter from China is made. A new species Agnaptoria markama, sp. nov. of the genus Agnaptoria Reitter is described from Tibet. A key to known species of the genus is given. Type specimens are deposited in the Museum of Hebei University. Agnaptoria markama, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~8, 17) Holotype: ♀ , Dongda Mountain (N29.7°, E98.0°), Markam County, Xizang Autonomous Region, 09-Ⅵ-2004, 5 008 m, leg. BA Yi-bin and SHI Ai-min. The new species resembles A. zamotailovi Medvedev, 1998, but differs from the latter by the following characters: anterior margin of pronotum shallowly arcuately emarginate; epipleural carina visible from above in anterior 1/5; upper spur of protibia noticeably larger than lower one; tibiae strongly dilated from base to apex. As to the latter: anterior margin of pronotum rather deeply arcuately emarginate; epipleural carina not visible from above; spurs of protibia subequal in length; tibiae slightly widening from base to apex.
