印度北部丘陵地区水土保持措施

【摘要】 印度西北丘陵山区是人类和动物干扰非常敏感的地区。为了满足当地居民粮食、饲料、纤维和能源的需要,在脆弱的丘陵坡地进行农业生产是不可避免的。因此,为了确保土地资源的可持续利用,经过30多年在北部丘陵地区的实践证明,农林业技术措施不仅能实现农业高产而且能够促进水土保持。介绍了印度北部丘陵山区水土保持的主要措施。

【Abstract】 The northwestern hilly region of India is highly sensitive to human and animal disturbances. The agricultural production on the fragile hill slopes is inevitable for the food, fodder, fiber and energy need of local inhabitants. The suitable conservation measures have been developed to sustain agricultural production without deteriorating the resource. Soil conservation agronomic practices, which are economically sounds for conserving soil on agricultural lands, form the second line of defense. The agronomic practices, which can easily be adopted without extra expenditure, not only result in higher production but also promote soil and water conservation. These practices can efficiently deal with erosion problems on mild slopes. The efficacy of various agronomic conservation measures is proved by the practices of the region in the last three decades.
