【Abstract】 This paper has studied the application of intelligent decision support system (IDSS) in urban traffic safety control and management. Firstly, the framework of IDSS for traffic safety management is put forward based on geographic information system for transportation (GIST). Then, with the knowledge of traffic engineering, especially traffic flow theories and dynamic traffic assignment (DTA), traffic model base on IDSS for safety control is presented. Finally, the paper takes into account general strategies in traffic safety management such as road facilities perfecting, intersection controlling, urban traffic flow guidance system and emergency incident management.更多还原
