【Abstract】 Discusses the principle of automatic computation of the composite thin - walled bar properties of the section ( moment of inertia, bending center etc) . It adopts precise integral method to work out the formulary of the properties of the section of the thin - walled bar having open cross section and thin - walled bar having cross section, and utilizes Visual Basic tools to exploit the software which computes the properties of section of composite thin - walled bar. The instances of computation show that the result of theoretic computation equal to the result of outcome of automatic compjutation, and can be adapted to the complicated condition of composite thin - walled bar.
