实时地形绘制算法综述
A Survey of Real-time Terrain Rendering Algorithms
【摘要】 实时地形绘制在游戏、飞行训练、军事演习模拟、地理信息系统(GIS)等领域中有着广泛应用。实时地形绘制算法一般采用视点相关的连续细节层次简化技术等方法来减少实际所需要绘制的地形数据量。该文介绍了实时地形绘制中的几种代表性算法并讨论了当前的最新研究进展,分析了目前尚存在的问题和研究前景。
【Abstract】 Real-time terrain rendering has been widely used in games, VR, simulations and GIS, etc. Real-time terrain rendering algorithms usually use view-dependent Continuous Level of Details to generate simplified terrain meshes. In this paper, main algorithms of real-time terrain renderings are explored and the recent achievements are discussed and the existing problems are analysed.
