【Abstract】 Load-balancing algorithm for large-scale video-on-demand systems was discussed. A new load-balancing algorithm was proposed, which not only employed the optimized strategy to distribute the consumer’s demands, but also included the pop movie auto-recognition strategy, storage management and emergency disposing strategy.
