【Abstract】 Considering the growing amount of distributed information in applications,databases,intranets and the Internet, companies know that the ability to handle and use that information is the key to their success. The paper discusses the heterogeneous problems in data integration,especially on the semantic heterogeneity.The paper also analyses the probability of solving the semantic heterogeneity using ontology.
