LOD算法研究及其在地形实时显示中的应用
The Research of LOD Algorithm and its Application to Large-scale Terrain Rendering
【摘要】 多分辨率显示(LOD)技术是解决大规模地形实时渲染的关键技术之一。该文论述了LOD技术的基本原理、分析了几种常用的LOD算法;研究了与视点相关的渐进格网(VDPM)算法,并对其进行了较大改进,提高了执行效率;最后,将改进后的算法应用到大规模地形实时渲染中,取得了较好的实时显示效果。
【Abstract】 LOD is one of solutions to the real-time visualization of large-scale terrain.In this paper,firstly,the basic concept of LOD is introduced briefly and some algorithms of LOD in use are mentioned and analyzed;secondly,as one of algorithms of LOD,View-Dependent Progressive Mesh(VDPM) algorithm is studied and improved;finally,the result of implementing the large-scale terrain’s LOD by using VDPM is presented.
