【Abstract】 The introduction of Blu-ray Disc caught a lot of attention from the Chinese optical storage industry. China is now ranked as the No. I in the world in production of players, recorders and discs. It may become one of the main contents providers in the future. But due to many reasons, there are some worries and misunderstandings about Blu-ray Disc among the Chinese industry. These worries and misunderstandings mainly focus on two aspects. Firstly, people worry about the rationality of the O.I mm cover layer design; Secondly, as a new generation of optical storage, people are worried about the complexity of the disc process. In this paper, Blu-ray Disc is introduced as a way of clarifying the issues that created the above worries. We hope Chinese optical storage industry pays more attention to what is happening on Blu-ray Disc in the world.In this way, the optical storage industry in China can be well prepared for the forthcoming high definition TV era.更多还原
