【Abstract】 In Deng Xiaoping’s view, mistakes are an objective existence. On the one hand, one should not fear making mistakes and should objectively treat others who have done something wrong. On the other hand, admitting the fact that mistakes are unavoidable does not mean one may ignore mistakes and tolerate them running rampant; instead, one should endeavor to minimize mistakes, especially serious ones, rectify them timely, and draw lessons from them.
