【Abstract】 Iris Murdoch is a well-known philosophical novelist in British academic field after the Second World War.She attempts to employ the narrative form to explain her philosophical views and ethical thoughts.This paper,starting with the explanation of the theoretical originality of her novel-writing,analyses the narrative features of her novels to illustrate her views of novel-writing,i.e.,the ideal novel keep the tension between the narrative“form” and the “contingency” of the content,representing the characters’ contingenciness and particularity.更多还原
