【Abstract】 Most of the previous critics think that we can use words like "bitch" or "prostitute" to summarize the character of the heroine Brett in the novel The Sun also Rises written by Hemingway. From a new perspective the author of the present paper rethinks the character of the heroine, holding that Brett is a fine lady just like a goddess symbolizing the divine love rather than a bitch and that this way of interpretation is more reasonable and can help the readers get to know the theme of the novel better.更多还原
