【Abstract】 A new type of pour point depressant for diesel oil was synthesized using pyromellitic dianhydride, long chain alkylol and ethyeneglycol ( or ethylendiamine) as raw material and o - methylbenzenesulfonic acid as catalyst in esterification. The effects of type of alkylol, molar ratio of the raw materials, reaction time and addition concentration on the cold filter plugging point of liaohe - 10# diesel oil were studied.
