【Abstract】 Firstly the application feasibility of artificial neural network to assess the damage compensation caused by oil spill accidents of ships was discussed according to its nonlinear complexity. Then fifteen famous compensation cases accepted by IOPFC were selected as an example to set up neural network model used for assessing the damage compensation. Finally five concrete cases were used to test the reliability of the model.The results were satisfactory.Thus the model was used be the reference to assessment and it also offered a novel and convenient method to assess the damage compensation caused by oil spill accidents of ships.更多还原
