【Abstract】 Primeval scenes from myths and some classics like the Bible are considered as the most ancient layer of cultural accumulation, which, existing in the unconscious of many western writers,is inherited or overturned by successive generations. This paper presents the influence of the Greek myths and the story of Genesis on Eugene O’Neill’s Desire Under the Elms and his overturn to the man-centered biblical scene via the theory of myth and archetype.更多还原
