【Abstract】 The formation and development of Yangtze River Delta is based on the profound history of the shared Wu Yue culture characterized with tolerance, citizenization, coupling hardness with softness, opening-up and innovation, and celebrating mercantilism and utilitarianism. The identity of these cultural values give an unfailing supply of the motive force of the development of this area and help to bring about the formation of this unique economic circle in China at last.
