【Abstract】 In this article,the author attempts to illustrate that Gatsby,who mingles Dionysiac spirit with Apollonian spirit,is a mixture of sense and passion,by analyzing Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby through Nietzsche’s Tragic Theory,and to explain Gatsby’s tragedy is evidently unavoidable in the tragic society,therefore,a new approach could be offered to help people appreciate Gatsby’s tragedy.更多还原
