【Abstract】 With the advancement of China’s reform and opening to the outside world,our mother tongue Chinese is encountering an unprecedented shock wave with foreign languages,particularly with English.Under this circumstance some Chinese experts and literary men are feeling uneasy about the future of Chinese and appealed a campaign to protect the purity of Chinese.This paper presents an opposing argument on the following two issues:(1)The development of a language has its own law which can not be dominated by any human beings;(2) The borrowing of foreign language will do nothing bad but improve and enrich our mother tongue.更多还原
