【摘要】 文章利用2003年3月“非典”期间广州调查的一手资料,对“非典”事件前期新闻媒介所扮演的角色进行量化研究。数据分析主要包括两个方面,一是事件期间在公众的信息渠道中,媒介居何地位;二是公众对媒介的评价情况。调查发现,媒介在事件前期的表现并不理想,原因是在一些关键时刻以及在整个事件中它未能成为公众最主要的信息渠道,因而公众对它的评价偏低。更多还原

【Abstract】 Based on the firsthand data collected through a Guangzhou-based survey during the SARS period in March, 2003, a quantitative study was made about the role played by the news media during the initial stage of the SARS outbreak. Two aspects were considered in the statistical analysis: public media’s role in the process and the public’s e valuation of the media. On the whole, the media did not perform as well as expected during the initial stage. The public opinion about them was low because they failed to be a main source of information for the public during the critical period.更多还原
