【Abstract】 This paper examines recent changes in the structure of enployment and the nature of workin the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Toronto’s economy emerged from a period of recession in the mid-1990s, and now bears many of the hallmarks of a post- Fordist, post-industrial economy. We describe the GTAs new economy first by surveying the character reflects recent changes in the metropolitan region’s economy, and second by summarising some statistical indicators of employment change. Finally, we describe the key processes that account forthese changes. We suggest that there are both similarities and differences between Toronto and comparabe city-regions in China.更多还原
