熔融拉锥光纤耦合器熔锥区的红外光谱研究

【摘要】 以不同拉锥速度制作的耦合器为样品,用显微红外光谱仪测试了其熔区和锥区。实验发现:在1100cm-1和810cm-1左右有两个明显的特征峰;1100cm-1特征峰在锥区的波数最高,熔区次之,裸光纤最小;随着拉锥速度的增大,1100cm-1特征峰移向高波数;150μm/s的拉锥速度下制作的耦合器熔锥区析晶少,微观结构畸变小,性能最优。

【Abstract】 The optical performance of fused-taper fiber coupler is determined by microstructure and geometry of fused taper region. The microstructure is determined by technological conditions. In order to find out the relationship between technological conditions and microstructure, the paper takes the couplers manufactured at different drawing velocity as samples, and tests their fused regions and taper regions with the micro infrared spectrometric analyser. Two characteristic peaks are discovered from the experiment, one is at about 1100cm-1 , the other is at about 810cm-1.It is found that the 1100cm-1 characteristic peak at the taper region is the highest, the one at the fused region is following, and the one of bare fiber is the lowest. The 1100cm-1 characteristic peak shifts to higher wave number with increasing the drawing velocity. The performance of the fiber coupler manufactured at the drawing velocity of 150μm/s is the best because of less crystals and smaller change of microstructure.
