【摘要】 《清迈协议》是当前东亚货币金融合作中所取得的最重要的制度性成果。2005年5月《清迈协议》需要重新审议,因此对《清迈协议》的评估和改革将影响到未来东亚货币合作的进展。本文试图简要评价进一步推进《清迈协议》的意义、评估《清迈协议》当前存在的问题和缺陷并提出推进《清迈协议》的政策建议。更多还原

【Abstract】 The Chiang Mai Initiative(CMI)is so far the most significant regional financial arrangement in East Asia and it’s due to be reviewed in May 2005. In this paper we argued that there is still need to strengthen regional financial cooperation through the CMI because East Asian economies are facing new external risks. The shortcoming of the CMI includes its lack of central body, the linkage with IMF conditionality, and the insufficient funding it can provide. Policy suggestions are made to institutionalize and multilateralize the CMI.更多还原
