一种新颖的光纤色散测试方法

【摘要】 在相移法的基础上,提出了一种新颖的基于普通单模光纤的色散测试方法,研制了相应的测试仪器。通过引入波长为1310nm的参考光,以波长间隔大的1310/1550nm波分复用/解复用(WDM)器代替了波长间隔小的WDM器,不仅减少了成本,且实验误差小于0.5ps。对研制过程中的主要问题进行说明。

【Abstract】 The commercial application of the techniques of wavelength division multiplexing/demultiplexing(WDM) employed in the optical fiber communications has promoted the development of new measuring techniques for chromatic dispersion of optical fiber.Although many apparatus which can offer exactly measurement are available,theyre extremely expensive.Skillfully,we devise a novel measuring method,which is low cost,for the single mode fiber dispersion.It features the skill that by employing a reference light at the wavelength of 1 310 nm,the apparatus avoids using the high cost wavelength division multiplexer/demultiplexers.The experiments with 0.5 ps error ensure the feasibility and the key issues are illustrated during the manufacture.
