激光显示中声光调制器的非线性实时校正
Real-time correction of nonlinearity of acousto-optic modulator in laser display
【摘要】 激光显示中常采用高速宽带声光调制器(AOM)调制激光光强,以此控制图像每个像素的灰度。AOM衍射效率的非线性使显示图像的灰度失真,必须实时校正。为此,提出了一种实时校正的方法:实测AOM调制电压与衍射效率的调制特性数据,通过六阶多项式拟合后再插值的方法建立了校正非线性的查询表;通过查询电路实时查找视频图像中每个像素的灰度对应的调制电压值,从而达到间接校正AOM调制非线性的目的。实验证明了该校正方法的可行性。
【Abstract】 High-speed and broadband Acousto-Optic Modulator (AOM) is widely used in laser display as a light intensity modulator to control the gray scale of pixels. The nonlinearity of AOM diffraction efficiency will lead to tonal distortion. Real-time calibration must be put in practice. For this reason, a real-time calibration method is proposed from which, the AOM modulation voltage and modulation data of the diffraction efficiency are practically measured. Then an enquiry form of nonlinearity is established through 6-order polynomial fitting and interpolation. The modulation voltage corresponding to each pixel in video image can be found at real-time through enquiry circuit for indirect nonlinear calibration. The experiments demonstrate the feasibility of the calibration method.
