【Abstract】 Shuo Wen Guang Yi is the works written by WANG fu-zhi, a philosopher between the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, who studied Shuo Wen and interpreted the meaning of the Chinese characters. People seldom study it. The main content is about the evolution of the figures, the basic and its extended meaning of Chinese characters, the borrowed meaning, the origin and meaning of Chinese, the synonym discrimination. It has distinctive characteristics with simplicity and meaningfulness. It is the pioneering works which studies Shuo Wen of Qing Danasty.
