【Abstract】 Debates on metropolitan regionalism have been proliferating in major western countries since early 1990s, the practices in the US have been regarded as the important examples. Following a board historical survey of earlier approaches to metropolitan regionalism in the US city system, this article provides a intensive analysis of contemporary metropolitan regionalism in three aspects which conclude of the global economic restructuring, the spatial reconstitution of metropolitan form, and the rethinking of the politics of the “Neoliberalism”. In addition, the rules of development of metropolitan governance and metropolitan regionalism have been studied carefully.更多还原
