【Abstract】 The main objective of power control is to reduce energy consumed in pa cket delivery and increase throughput by increasing the channel’s spatial reuse. In this article an overview of various power control approaches is given. Then discuss the factors that influence the selection of the transmission power, incl uding the important interplay between the routing and the medium access control (MAC) layers.
