【Abstract】 Along with the rapid emergence of next-generation network, the users may be connected with each other by a variety of wireless devices, which have been connected by wireless links supported by an IP-based core network. Although the IP protocol will be the common denominator, the new environment brings together many different interconnecting domains, which will no doubt make the end-to-end QoS process much more complicated. In this paper, we will discuss the necessity of standardizing end-to-end QoS protocol, emphasizing QoS specification on the service level.
