小波变换在图像压缩中的应用
Application of wavelet transform in image compression
【摘要】 介绍了小波变换的基本理论以及基于小波变换的图像分解与重构过程.讨论了在Matlab语言环境下实现图像压缩的基本方法,并对小波变换用于图像压缩时小波基的选取所要考虑的因素进行了分析.从工程和实验两个方面较为直观地探讨了小波变换在图像压缩中的应用.实验结果表明:小波变换用于图像压缩能够实现很高的压缩比,具有很高的使用价值.
【Abstract】 The author presented the theoretical basis of wavelet transform and the processing of image decomposition and reconstruction, then discussed the method of image compression using the wavelet transform in the Matlab and analyzed how to choose the wavelet base for the aim. From the angle of the engineering and experimentation,the application of image compression based on the wavelet transform has been discussed. The results of Experiment showed that this method had high compression ratio and many advantages.
