【Abstract】 Dot matrix printer head has high rate of break down. In order to use and maintain the printer head correctly, it is necessary to analyze the principle of printer head and reasons of break down. By using a testing program written in BASIC, we can test the position of the broken needle or defect coil. It provides the evidence for replacing needle or coil.
