【Abstract】 Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is a new type of broadband wireless access network that combines the advantages of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Ad Hoc Network. This network offers a high speed/capacity over large areas and it is an effective way for broadband access. This paper mainly introduces the current research, architecture, key technology and the differences between WMN and other networks.
