【Abstract】 As early as the Han Dynasty, scholars had noticed the homology words in Chinese and made use of the method of Xungu (the critical interpretation of an ancient text), or to be exact, one of the Xungu methods called Shengxun to describe the relationship between the pronunciation and meanings of words. However, the study on homology words didn’t start until the era of Minguo (the Republic of China), when Mr. Zhang Tai-yan began to make a scientific research on homology words. The Dictionary of Homology Words, written by Wang Li is considered to be the first work on homology words with modern significance. In the past, homology words were determined in terms of pronunciation and meaning. This thesis helps to people have a more complete understanding of homology words by analyzing the conditions of the homology words’ forming from the perspective of grammar.更多还原
