【Abstract】 Most megacities have polycentric urban form. Beijing chose a corridor urban form some like Paris’s in its recent published concept plan, While Beijing keeps its huge inertia to traditional urban center. This is a comprehensive result of Beijing’s spatial scale, administration, and development ideas. The author compared the background, experience and performance of new town construction (NTC) of London, Paris and Beijing. Then the author analyzed some conditions should be satisfied with beijing’s corridor urban form and gave some advice on its NTC.更多还原
