【Abstract】 The development on Cherenkov effect and Cherenkov radiation materials are evaluated in this pa- per.The main properties of lead glasses and cubic lead fluoride crystals,which have been successfully used as Cherenkov radiation materials,are discussed.The latest developed promising Cherenkov materials,NaBi（WO₄）₂ and RE:PbWO₄ crystals as well as their growth techniques,are compared with the former Cherenkov materials.Cubic PbF₂ crystals are regarded as the best Cherenkov radiation materials in the application of low energy calorimetry.更多还原
