网格资源性能监控
Resource Performance Monitoring in Grids
【摘要】 在网格环境下资源动态变化,网格需要实时、准确、动态的性能信息,负载管理系统从动态变化的资源池中选择合适的资源是非常重要的。网格资源性能监控可以在动态网格环境下为调度决策系统提供调度依据,使网格资源的利用更加合理,改进应用程序的执行性能。通过分析当前流行的网格监控工具,以可扩展性、浸入性、信息有效性、数据格式、可添加性、通信、安全以及监测度量等性能指标为参考,对网格资源监控工具进行了比较并讨论了目前系统中的某些局限性和下一步的工作。
【Abstract】 In a grid environment, the state of resources varies dynamically.The accurate and dynamic performance information of the resources is needed . It is important for load management systems to choose suitable resources from the resource pool that varies dynamically. Resource performance monitoring in grids is the base for the scheduling system, it makes utilization of the resource more suitable and improves the executing time of applications. Typical monitoring tools are classified and discussed in detail based on the requirements of scalability, intrusiveness, validity of information, data format, extendibility, communication, security and measurement metrics. The common drawbacks of data management and the future work are discussed in the end.
