【Abstract】 At the beginning of twentieth century,Zhang Jian started to devote himself actively into political movement, insisted on constitutional monarchy, and took measures by various means to publicize his viewpoint. Later, by support of Jiangsu Provincial Assembly, he zealously took part in the Constitutional Movement, advancing civil government,ploting and leading nation-wide Congressional Petition Movement.
