【Abstract】 The Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) is regarded as a model of the next generation optical network. The signaling-based Distributed Call and Connection Management (DCM) of control plane in ASON is the key to the intelligent optical network. In this paper, the architecture and control interfaces of ASON are presented and the strategy for distributed call and connection management is analyzed. The functional architectures of ASON are discussed with detailed analysis of the implementation procedure of signaling-based DCM.更多还原
