【Abstract】 Myostatin is a negative regulator of muscle growth. It can be expressed in skeletal muscle, galactophore and cardiomyocytes. In order to investgate the expression pattern of myostatin mRNA in others tissues, total RNAs were isolated from skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, liver, kidney, lung, spleen, pancreas, and fat cells of a new pig breed JunMu-1 with Trizol reagent. Using RT-PCR and a nested PCR, it was found that the expression of mRNAs were detected in skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle and fat, and not detected in the other tissues.
